I am an Advance HE National Teaching Fellow and have worked in education for over twenty years, teaching every age group from reception through to postgraduate level. I have run a sixth form, led a Psychology department, acted as an examiner for AQA Psychology and been nominated for a Pearson teaching award. In 2018, I was awarded a University Teaching Award for Outstanding and Innovative Undergraduate Teaching and in both 2017 and 2019 won Digital Practice Awards to develop digital learning with my Foundation Year students. In 2017, I am also the co-founder of the Active Learning Network ( designed to forge collaborative links with educators across the country. I am mum to three boys and stepmum to two.
